THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME CONFUSION ABOUT USING SPONGES FOR EGG DROPS!  Item #2 on the Egg Drop sheet includes "foam" as a "not to be used" item.  Sponges are considered foam.  

SPELLING:  Workbook 337 & 339, and paragraph about a book title and description of an under-the-sea adventure.

MATH:  457 - 459.  Show work for #20 - 24.

RELIGION:  Worksheet 56:  Play the game with someone at home.  Have them sign it!

MEMORY:  Colossians 3:1

Note from Mr. B.:  Due to the number of parents planning to participate in "Take Your Child to Work Day," the Egg Drops are now due next WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, instead of Thursday.  (The guidelines for the Egg Drop project are listed between the MARCH 13 & MARCH 14 blog entries.)

County Quiz (#59 Buffalo – Alma & #60 Trempealeau – Whitehall) next Thursday.

ENGLISH:  Madison Trip - final copy - due Monday.  These may be hand written or typed.

READING:  Pick one, page 241, 1st or 2nd choice.

SCIENCE:  Egg Drop project due AT SCHOOL FOR SCIENCE TIME Wednesday.  They may be brought to school earlier than Wednesday.

SPELLING:  Test tomorrow!  10 sentences this week instead of 20.  You can choose the words from the regular list, Review, and/or Challenge for Lesson 29.  5 of them need to be in cursive.

MEMORY:  1 John 5:20b  (A few students need to also make up John 3:17 from today.)

SOCIAL STUDIES:  County Quiz tomorrow!  #57 & #58.  Wisconsin Studies Weekly crossword puzzle.  Current Event - goldenrod - due next Wednesday.  (A few students still need to turn in their pink ones that were due today.)

ENGLISH:  Madison Field Trip final copy - due Monday.

READING:  Worksheet "Missing Words"

SCIENCE:  Egg Drop now due Wednesday, April 23, instead of Thursday.  The Science Fair is next Thursday evening, April 24.

Attention St John GR. 4 Students and Parents

We are starting our new Science Unit titled “Structure of Life.”  Part of this unit consists of looking at the life cycle of a plant.  An introductory activity to this unit includes taking a look at “Fruit.”  I am asking each student to bring in at least one piece of fresh fruit or vegetable.  This is preferably a fruit or vegetable that has a seed or seeds.  All fresh “fruit” should be brought to school on Wednesday April 9, 2014.

Some Suggestions include: apple, oranges with seeds, pears, melon, kiwi, green beans, pea pods, cucumbers, tomato, corn on the cob, peanuts in the shell, green peppers, strawberries, other berries with seeds, or any other type of fruit or vegetable with a seed(s).

CHOIR CHANGE
4th Grade will not be singing Easter Sunday, April 20, at 10:30, as previously listed in the Menu.  
They WILL be singing Sunday, April 27, at the 8:00 service.  The next Menu will have the corrected information.
